The A.R.I., Italian Radioamateur Association, to celebrate its 90° birthday in 2017 promotes a new Award called “ARI 90 YEARS” open to all HAM and SWL over the worls.
Rules: during the year 2017, starting from March 1st to December 31st, many ARI Clubstations will be on air from all Italian Regions. These Clubstations, that can be detected from the callsign starting with prefix IQ, will give a code, called SASC (Special ASC) that will be like in this example:
Letter90ARI#
Letter identifies the Region as follows:
A = Abruzzo |
B = Basilicata |
C = Campani |
D = Molise |
E = Emilia-Romagna |
F = Tuscany |
G = Liguria |
J = Apulia |
K = Calabria |
L = Lombardy |
M = Marche |
N = Trentino-South Tyrol |
P = Piedmont |
R = Lazio |
S = Sardinia |
T = Sicily |
U = Umbria |
V = Friuli-V.G. |
W = Veneto |
X = Aosta Valley |
# is a number following the word “ARI” and it wil be different for each Clubstation of the Region participating to the event. In two cases the callsign will be an ordinary Italian callsign: IK8EJN and IK7SHC (that’s because these Clubstations don’t have a proper IQ callsign)
There will be aldo two ARI Headquarter Special Stations, with callsign II2ARI and II2XC that will pass the SASC H90ARI1 and H90ARI2, and on April 22nd 2017 during the Marconi Day, will be on air 10 Marconian Special Stations detectable from the prefix IY: these Stations will pass ten different SASC: from Y90ARI1 to Y90ARI10.
To claim this Award the applicants outside Italy will have to collect at least 12 Regions out of 20 (European applicants) and at least 10 Regions (Outside-EU applicants). One missing Region can be replaced by one Special Event Station or by one Marconian Station (11+1 for EU Stns or 9+1 for Outside-EU Stns), two missing Regions can be replaced by one Special Event Station and one Marconian Station (10+1+1 for EU Stns or 8+1+1 for Outside-EU Stns).
The Award is free and it will be sent to the applicant as PDF file. No paper Awards are available.
